Theatre Workshop of Nantucket Announces Auditions for Young Actors for this Holiday Season's production of
A Christmas Story — the heartwarming and hilarious stage adaptation of the beloved film that has become a festive favorite for generations. Set in the snowy Midwest of the 1940s, this charming tale follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his one Christmas wish: a genuine Red Ryder BB gun. But no matter who he asks—his mom, his teacher, or even Santa himself—the answer is always the same: “You’ll shoot your eye out!”
Seeking boys and girls, approximate ages 10-14, who can portray young teenagers and preteens
Auditions:
Saturday, September 20, 12-2 pm
Sunday, September 21, 12-2 pm
Please plan to attend ONE audition time. Callbacks will take place from 2-3 pm both days.
Audition Location-Bennett Hall, 62 Centre Street, adjacent to the First Congregational Church
Sides are available HERE, for preparation purposes. Lines do not need to be memorized for auditions, and printed versions will be available on the day.
A Headshot or recent photo (such as a school photo) is helpful if available, but not necessary

Please note there are performances on both the Wednesday before and the Friday after Thanksgiving.
About the production: This is a straight play, not the musical version. This is not a youth theatre production, but is one of Theatre Workshop's mainstage productions. This is a special opportunity to work alongside Theatre Workshop's professional actors. This is an audition-based opportunity. A Christmas Story is directed by Tim Booth.
